    15 Staff in Training Information
    This position is focused on understanding the role of camp staff through the experience of serving as camp staff in this short session. Duties are predominantly in food service and housekeeping, but also include some recreation and usually a facilities project. Time will also be devoted to brief 'studies' of the traits that are necessary when serving as staff and the adjustment that is sometimes a shock for those who come from the camper experience.

Administrative Assistant (CLP) (Christian Life Program) Information
Assist Christian Life Program with administrative duties such as filing, word processing, data entry, and general office duties, a minimum of 5 hours a week for one year. Must have organizational skills, be detailed oriented, capable of working independently, have experience with electronic communications and other computer programs (Excel, Access, etc), be flexible and able to multi-task, have good record keeping and basic clerical knowledge, and other duties as needed.

Morning or afternoon 8:00 to 4:00 to be coordinated with Men’s Ministries Administrative Assistant’s schedule.

Development Intern (Intern) Information
City Union Mission’s Development Internship is a structured nine to twelve weeks during the Spring Jan -May, Summer May – August; or Fall August – December semester with a minimum of 26 hours per week; Monday through Friday 8:00AM to 4:00PM. The goal of this internship is to help students further cultivate their skills through experience at a national non-profit. The development intern must have a positive attitude and eagerness to learn about fundraising and donor relations strategies. Knowledge of the non-profit sector and fundraising, either through coursework or professional experience is a must; volunteer experience preferred.

You will experience working with City Union Mission’s nine member development team. City Union Mission is a non-profit ministry operating on a $10.5 million budget reaching out to those who are poor or homeless in Kansas City, MO. You will also learn the value of long range planning and the day to day ministry.

This life changing experience will lead to: personal growth in understanding urban poverty, a deep sense of Christian community, and expanded skills. Each intern is challenged to step out of the personal comfort zone and into a world of serving Christ in both exciting and sacrificial ways.

Driver (Medical Services) Information
Driver- We are looking for male volunteer drivers to transport anywhere from 2-8 men at a time to local KC entities for them to obtain their IDs, Truman Discount Cards, dental appointments, and places where the Mission's case managers may need them to go. These drivers will be using the Mission's vehicles to transport these individuals that are in need of services.

There are programs these men have opportunity for with their medical care that are being held up because of the lack of enough drivers for transportation. If we had drivers available for certain days, the men could utilize more services and this would be of great assistance for our staff and those we care for here at the Mission.
Facilities Intern (Intern) Information

Greet guests to the CAC building, and assist guests signing in for community assistance, as well as monitoring building for safety.
